A TECHNICAL TRIP WAS CONDUCTED TO THE PROVINCES OF UŞAK AND MANİSA.

A day trip was organized on 23.10.2024 to the provinces of Uşak and Manisa for students continuing their education in the programs of Tourist Guiding, Culinary, and Tourism and Hotel Management at Yeşilova İsmail Akın Tourism Vocational School. Under the coordination of the faculty members of the Travel Tourism and Entertainment Services Department Tourist Guiding Program, Lecturer Dr. Uğur Tozkoparan and Lecturer Dr. Faruk GÖKÇE, the trip was organized to provide students with the opportunity to apply the theoretical explanations they have seen in classes in the field. Students gained field experience and learned how tours should be managed. Additionally, students had the opportunity to examine on-site the natural and cultural heritage values they have theoretically seen in the courses of Turkey Geography, Turkey Tourism Geography, Archaeology I-II, Anatolian History and Civilizations I-II.

Within the scope of the trip, explanations were provided about the values located on the Burdur - Denizli - Uşak and Manisa provinces road routes, and students were introduced in detail to Clandras Aqueduct, Ulubey Canyon, Uşak Museum, Kula Fairy Chimneys, Kula Divlit Cone, Kula Geopark, Historical Kula Houses, and Sardis Ancient City. The technical trip, which was very productive in terms of profession, was concluded without any mishaps.
